Your question cannot be answered unless and until you answer a bigger question - that being, is there a God and do we belong to Him!. I believe there is a God and I have chosen to live for Him!. So when life throws me a curve ball - and believe me, I've had a lot of them - I ask God to show me what He has in mind; what He wants to teach me, and how He wants to grow me in the experience!. If I have to experience rough times, I don't want them to be wasted!.

Many things happen because we are foolish, unwise, or otherwise off base!. The reason they happen is because we don't have our act together!. But, we can grow and learn through every circumstance!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everything happens!.
No one is testing you, don't worry!. Life can't be explained by any rules!. Life is a series of occurrences, what you do with them is your own choice!. Everything happens as a result of something else that happened!. I don't believe that there's one absolute truth, or that things are pre-determined!. "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device!."

Oh, and there's no "end of the test!." And it's not being graded!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cosmic consciousness implies the recognition of a First Cause, the one and only uncaused reality!.

There may not be tests but there is testing!. Supreme justice can act instantly when not restrained by divine mercy!. But the ministry of mercy to the children of time and space always provides for this time lag, this saving interval between seedtime and harvest!. If the seed sowing is good, this interval provides for the testing and upbuilding of character; if the seed sowing is evil, this merciful delay provides time for repentance and rectification!. This time delay in the adjudication and execution of evildoers is inherent in the mercy ministry of the seven superuniverses!. This restraint of justice by mercy proves that God is love, and that such a God of love dominates the universes and in mercy controls the fate and judgment of all his creatures!.

No!. If everything happened for a reason, there must be a creator!. I do not believe in a creator, so Fate is not logical!.

And!.!. there is a difference between cause/effect and Fate!. Fate is pre-determined while cause/effect aren't!. Just because you cause something, doesn't mean it was meant to happen!.

Fate is the illusion that because history cannot be changed, the present is how it was meant to be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think anyone is testing us, no!.
But I do think that everything happens for a reason!. Everything has a cause and effect!.
You don't necessarily have to come out as a better person on the end,
Everyone has a choice to either let the experience better them or not!. But I think if you don't let it make you better, then you just went through a bunch of crap for absolutely nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is a huge debate in philosophy!. Mathematics teaches us that there is such a thing as chance, and the recent mathematics of chaos theory takes this even further!. On the other hand determinism has had a long history in philosophy!. This is the belief that if a rock fell off a cliff 50 million? years ago, it led to a chain of events such that now you find yourself unable to find an ostrich in your neighborhood!. But hindsight like this is purely speculative!. We can trace events back to other known events (this is history), but once firm knowledge escapes us, it is purely speculative!. Since the idea of Fate cannot be proved or disproved, scientists prefer to look at the world mathematically!. That is, 5X10 is always going to = 50, unless we are operating in a non decimal system, which still has logical rules!. But if we consider a gasoline explosion, we can predict that hydrocarbon molecules are going to fly about at a furious rate!. What we cannot predict is where any one particular molecule will be at any specific time!. So, in essence, reality is both deterministic and chaotic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think everything does happen for a reason!.
But if its test I don't know!.
But I do think that its been made that way for us to become a stronger person in the end!. Not necessarily a better person!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, so you can learn and truth always makes you a better person!.

Even if someone weren't testing you, it would be good to test yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it does!. I also think we don't understand why sometimes!. Maybe we don't need to!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
