Question: I believe everyone is a slave!?
I say we are slaves to one another!. We have to "respect" everyone, and withhold our opinion on someones appearance, actions, mind, what they were born with, etc!. If someone was ugly, I am not aloud to say it!? If I feel he/she is ugly, why am I not aloud to say it!? because it will hurt their feelings yes, but I am still allowed to say it correct!? same goes for "special" children then yes!? I can call them retarded and stupid!? It is my opinion, it is my mouth, I am a human being born to use my mind and my mouth however I would like yes!? so in other words, are we aloud to say anything in this country!? freedom of speech is more like freedom to use the parts of our body that we hold possession to!? since we are not slaves to one another, and we can say our own opinion, we OWN our own opinions, we each have an individual mind that we are aloud to USE, and we each have a MOUTH that we are able to use ourselves!.

Our Society suggests that we respect each other!. They are not laws, however, they are suggestions!. You are free to be as insulting as you wish!. Others are free to choose not to associate with you if that is their choice!. You are not enslaved despite that you say you are not allowed to do these things!. You are allowed to do them, you may suffer rejection from your associates for doing those things, but that is only because they are free to choose to reject you!. If you were enslaved, you would not be allowed to post this question as you have,:)

kinda depends on how you define the word slave!. We are all ''slaves'' to something or someone to some extent!. But, the real meaning of 'slave' can only be realized in our modern times in moslem countries as they still condon and practice slavery!.
Freedom of speech in this country originally was for polical views!. Not running through the fields naked!. I am sure that our founding fathers did not even consider some of the things that we now call freedom of speech!.

Some people just want to get along and honestly - friends and having respect towards one another means so much more than voicing unworthy opinions and stating the obvious of some poor persons misfortunes!. If no one has respect for you, why on EARTH would they bother listening to you!?

If words that can hurt people and I disagree with that we are born with something somebody doesn't like you can say what you want but I wouldn't want to be around you its like a bully who thinks they can do whatever they want you would have to put your self in that person position whether they have a disability or disfigurement it was not by their choice I hope nothing ever bad happens to you that you lose your legs that you get trapped in a house fire that all at once you have stroke that paralysis the left side may you never need assistance because most people might think like you and just walk by and call you cripple and what about the people fighting the wars do they deserve to be mocked for injuries your words coming out of your mouth can cause damage to someones self-esteem it does not make you look good only callous and ignorantWww@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, that's true!. Except for the "slaves" part!. "Slaves" is not the correct term for that!. If someone's ugly and you say it to his or her face, by all means, say it if you want!. Grab a megaphone and scream it to his or her face for all we care!. You won't be arrested or put to jail anyway!. But we should all be aware of how others feel!. (okay, I know what you're thinking, "yeah, so that's the part why we're slaves") Respect is not something that is demanded from each and every human being in the face of the planet!. There's nothing in the law that says we're all obliged to respect!. We're not FORCED to respect, we CHOOSE to respect!. Respect is something that can be found in a civilized and well-rounded person!. If you're disrespectful, you won't be arrested or whatever!. People will just look down on your ignorance!. Let's get back to the "ugly" example!. If someone said "HOLY CRAP!. YOU ARE SOOOO FREAKIN UGLY, YOU SHOULD SUE!" to your face, wouldn't that hurt!? I mean, a person like you who's strong enough to say that we're all slaves maybe wouldn't mind, but it's really insulting, you know!? Heck, being a "slave" actually means putting up with all the people who call you "ugly" or "retarted" of "stupid" or whatever!. Being a "slave" means not doing anything about ignorant people around!. However, being a "savior" means having respect and sensitivity present among you!.
