Question: Women - subconsciously still slaves looking for their masters!?

I read this quote in a book: "Women remain slaves looking for their masters even though we've emancipated them!." - something like that!.
Ladies, what do you think of that!? I'd appreciate guys' opinions too!.
I thought that that was awful generalizing and that not more than 5% of the women in the world are like that, subconsciously or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How can you say that when most households are dominated today by the woman of the house!? Not only that but women are constantly breaking the "glass ceiling" of the business world left and right!. If you broadly classify all people into only two categories , male and female, then I do not agree with the statement!. But , besides the gender division , which is very apparent , there are other master/slave situations all around !. Every man ( or woman) suffers in his/her work place with someone slave driving !. They carry this grouse home and valiantly put on an act of being a master!. !.This is a myth!. There is , however , this truth that by and large men are less sensitive and more aggressive by nature and that will give an appearance of men being masters !. Just because women seek equanimity and keep away from aggressiveness it does not mean that they act like slaves!. Far from it !. One needs more courage and inner strength to be so!.

Every person is looking for their master once in a while, but this counts both for men and women!. Like every person needs to dominate sometimes, and every person needs to get advice from a good friend now and then, and every person needs to be independent and do their own thing once in a while!.!.!.

Well, whoever wrote that line is completely ignorant of history!. In early societies, women were the dominant ones and the bread winners!. People think that the hunting males brought in all the food, but it was the women working in the fields who supplied most of the food!. If their was a bad hunt or something of that nature, men would stay at home, look after the children, and basically do what is today considered "woman's work!." So no, their is no subconcious desire in women to "look for a master" simply because of their gender!. It is current day society, which continues to oppress women, and tells women that they need a man to be worth anything!. I think that whoever said this probably wasn't considering that the same could be said about men, that men are subconsciously searching for their mothers!. We all want someone to take care of us from time to time!. We all have some fears about being too free or too independent!. this is the judgement based on observations on the modern, career women!.

consciously = no!.

subconsciously = yes!. and many people would say that this is untrue, since their judgement are based on the conscious state!.

for example: in terms of beauty, it is shown that many women have been spending half-life only to concern about how they look in the public - and other than about to look nice in front of other women, it's also about to gain men's attention too!. the more men of men's attention, the more she feels of self value!. in this case, she had lost her power of approving her own self and give it to the men!. this is indirectly pictured in snow white's stepmother, where the voice in the talking mirror who has been praising her beauty isn't the voice of a female, but a male!.

in terms of empowerment, women tend to think that it is on money!. this is because the nature of money-making originated mainly on the men's hand and it's the women who share with him!. therefore many women willing to spend on the men, thinking that this is the way they can gain empowerment while they don't realize that this can also be a way of misused by others, making the men more irresponsible and laidback!.

there are plenty of women, while doing their housechores, cooking and childcare job, also wanting to do the jobs that are originated for the men, it's good, but how far had they encouraged the men to do all the chores and cooking and child care!? and how many men actually wanting to do so!?

subconsciouly, whatever that a woman wants to do, it's basically about to gain attention from men, to gain approval, like a person looking to be approved by the master!. to test it, try to observe your daydream pictures and imagine it - regardless of whatever your imagination is, whether as a performing rock star, or making a speech etc!., would it be that nice if all the spectators in the room are women- only compared to if there are the presence of the men too!?
