Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Nihilism is when people argue that there is nothing significant or special about our life that there is no specific purpose!. basically its just someone stating that we are completely insignificant, we have no meaning, no purpose and its often a retarded mind set for many atheist that are just as bad as extreme Christians, hence they have no friggin proof that there is no purpose for humanity and that God simply does not exist so technically its just another closed mind retarded mind set!. these people that practice this philosophical bullsh** are often times the individuals that don't care about anything at all period except taking in absolute selfishness the things that only bring them pleasures for them with complete disregard for the other individual!. okay maybe I am going a little overboard but its true because I have met these retards and basically they are just a nuisance to man kindWww@QuestionHome@Com Nihilism is a state of mind causing pessimism and a general cynical outlook on life!. Many undergoes periods of thoughtful nihilism concluding that life is a harsh trial at the termination of which we are aborted and exist no more!. Life has no moral purpose, or goal or task other than we spontaneously erupt from the parental loins born of a moment of lust or societal expectation, mature, suffers and then we ultimately and inevitably, die!. Many great thinkers and visionaries pass through such agonising periods of self doubt and abject loathing for the world, its creator and the self!. For the majority nihilism is therefore a contemplative period of negativity culminating in an emergence from under the dark cloud of despair to find again the beauty and wonder of life they were temporarily blinded to by an adverse chemical reaction, a biting wound to the psyche or a demoralising breakage of the bond of faith in a higher power requisite for man to strive and move diligently and conscientiously ahead upon life’s path!. They don't believe in any special reasons for humans being on earth other than the same as all the other animals!.
