I think both!. To a certain extent, bases on your beliefs in faith, it could be predetermined!.

As far as your destiny, you have every ounce of control over it!. I believe that we each have our own "fork" in the road so to speak!. With each decision in life we have two choices!. We can go one way and it may not be right, but we learn from it!.

Most importantly, we all have that little voice in side of us telling us to go for it, or to back off!. A lot of people choose to ignore it!.

I teach both of my children that each action has its own consequence!. Whether good or bad!.

Ask youself how bad do you want it!? If you work hard for it and it doesnt happen, then what!?

Although it is usually thought that these two possibilities contradict each other, both are true!. They are matter of perspective!.
1!.free will
Yes, we have real choices, maybe infinite number of them, that we can make in every moment!. Even refraining from making choice is choice!.
2!. destiny
All that happened, happened exactly the way it did so it shows that it had to happen that way (even if minimal factors decided at cross points)!.

I like to say that individual free will is one of the weapons of destiny!. It is also true that destiny is telling the story of individual free will!.
So, they are both important facts of existence!.

People usually tend to be either very responsible but also selfcritical for past mistakes, either on the other hands they don't feel bad for poor choices in the past, but they also hold "passive" position in present and in creating their future!.

It is best to acknowledge and hold position of personal responsibility and free will in things that we partake in at the moment, and that we will have opportunity to partake in in the future , and not to be sad and hurting oneself for things that we have already done, because they were obviously necessary lessons back then!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, we have free will, and that is the greatest freedom God gave to man!. But that free will must not be miss used!. We have to use it ethically in the way God would wants it!.

As for your destiny, if only you decide and persevere, your destiny is assured, Your will is your will!. Just focus on what you aspire to do in life and let God directs you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't believe in the supernatural, god, fate or call it what you will, so theoretically everyone has free will!. As a practical matter, though, I think our choices are in many respects quite limited!. The sort of person we are, created by nature and nurture, and our circumstances in life have a strong bearing on what we will choose when faced with options!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
