Prior to marriage romancing!.!.!. getting to know each other, and is this one of the major reason for incompatible and irreconcilable differences etc!. in the divorce courts today!.
Not so long ago, with the aid of a priest, imam, rabi, the families and friends the couples worked it out and the majority stayed together, bringing up their family and happily grew old together!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Courting was more than just romancing and getting to know someone!. In fact, you probably would've gotten to know less about a person when in the whole courting period than when married to them!. In most societies, back when courting was the primary fashion it was rigid, structured and more based on getting to know things about the person's family, income, status, etc!. than anything else!. Perhaps we go at it a bit differently than a century ago!. We are much wiser socially and much more open!. It used to be almost scandalous to be unwed or divorced!. Today people can explore more options and wed a person who seems compatible!. People grow at different rates and sometimes they grow in different directions instead of growing together!. There is nothing wrong with changing partners in life!. {except when lawyer s are inserted] There is the opportunity to express more love, grow in a new direction, learn new methods of coping and teaching!. In the dating process you are mostly gaging and judging your date anyway, not only that but you are getting to know the person!. Any smart person would date more than one person at a time anyway to choose who you are interested in and who you have the most in common with!. Personally, in my experience I have dated someone many times and found that upon my initial first date with them they weren't a good match!. So after writing you a long book, lol!. My 15 year old son understands not to put himself in temptations way!. It's really sad that parents have just accepted what society tells them about their teens and giving them no hope!. It's not true you can instill values and morals and allow your children to make decisions when they are old enough to be responsible for them!. Two things I will never do is #1 make decisions for my children #2 tell them that sex is ok as long as you love the person and use protection!.
