Heidegger said that the three states of time -past, present, and future- do not exist but in our individual perception and that their reason to exist is that they help us to organize events in a chronological order to avoid to get lost in space and time!. We can say that he saw time as a product of consciousness!. We can support this idea if we consider that what I'm experiencing now as my present was somebody else's future and eventually it will turn into somebody else's past and so onWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think time may very well turn out to be an emergent property of conciousness, but I'm not certain, by any means!. Check out the book in the source box, and the other link, for Julain Barbour's take on it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you are forced to squeeze yout butt cheeks together, it is time to go to the toilet!. That is reality!. In another state of consciousness you might need fresh underpants!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should read Descartes!. I think, therefore I am!. Our consciousness is our reality!. Do you know that you exist!? If so, then that is a reality; namely, your reality!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We all grow older every day, regardless of our perception!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
