Question: Why does life revolve around love!?
Its like, everyone in their life is out to find love, everyone thinks about it, gets upset and depressed about it etc!.!. and im just wondering why!? Like shouldn't we just be enjoying life for life!? Like the experiences we get and the fun times!? But it just seems without love and a partner its so hard to be really happy!.
I for one have been dumped by a long term boyfriend recently, and im trying to move on and be happy, i know i should just appreciate life as i do have a good laugh and good times with friends and family, but i just cant help but missing my ex, wanting to cry, wanting to find a decent guy, wondering if ill ever find someone etc!.!. but why does this matter!? Is it peer pressure that makes us feel this way!? Or is the need to be loved just programmed into us!? I just dont get it!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ive had a fw relationships before im in this one, but this is the one ive found true love in (im 19), and before everything in life seemed fine, no matter whathappened but now, if im not with my baby girl, everything seems so empty and meaningless,

i guess once u experience it, it creates his ultimate "bar" for everything to reach up that bar, and everything less just seems not worth it!. !.!.!.hoping something can come along and be raised higher than that barWww@QuestionHome@Com

You've got it completely wrong lol!. Life revolves around hate!. We hate, what we can't understand, we hate what is different to us!. We hate well and frequently!. We only love what we see in others that is a reflection of ourselves!. We love ourselves only, or those that are sufficiently like us!.
That of course is the cynic's perspective!Www@QuestionHome@Com

What would be the point of life without love!? Love gives meaning to our lives, at least to many of us!. Look how mothers protect their children,
puppies, kittens, babies of any species!. Look at the magic between lovers!. It's fun and it gives us purpose!. Glad you asked!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well as the whole purpose of life is to pass on our genes, it has to be made attractive for us to pick the right partner so we have strong/attractive offspring's so they will survive to carry our genes to the next generation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What do you mean by love:

Agape (?γ?πη agápē) means love in modern day Greek!. The term s'agapo means I love you in Greek!. The word agapo is the verb I love!. It generally refers to a "pure", ideal type of love rather than the physical attraction suggested by eros!. However, there are some examples of agape used to mean the same as eros!. It has also been translated as "love of the soul"!.

Eros (?ρω? érōs) is passionate love, with sensual desire and longing!. The Greek word erota means in love!. Plato refined his own definition!. Although eros is initially felt for a person, with contemplation it becomes an appreciation of the beauty within that person, or even becomes appreciation of beauty itself!. Eros helps the soul recall knowledge of beauty, and contributes to an understanding of spiritual truth!. Lovers and philosophers are all inspired to seek truth by eros!. Some translations list it as "love of the body"!.

Philia (φιλ?α philía), a dispassionate virtuous love, was a concept developed by Aristotle!. It includes loyalty to friends, family, and community, and requires virtue, equality and familiarity!. Philia is motivated by practical reasons; one or both of the parties benefit from the relationship!. Can also mean "love of the mind"!.

Storge (στοργ? storgē) is natural affection, like that felt by parents for offspring!.

Xenia (ξεν?α xenía), hospitality, was an extremely important practice in Ancient Greece!. It was an almost ritualized friendship formed between a host and their guest, who could previously be strangers!. The host fed and provided quarters for the guest, who was only expected to repay with gratitude!. The importance of this can be seen throughout Greek mythology, in particular Homer's Iliad and Odyssey!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
