Think of happiness as the climate and joy as the weather of a person!. Happiness is the over all evaluation one makes about ones life!. It is the long-term over all feeling expressed by a person towards life!. A happy person will on average have a lot more joyful days!. But just like it can rain in California so can a happy person experience some horrible days!. A unhappy person can have joyful moments but generally the weather matches the climate!. So happiness is not the same thing as joy but they are related!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Happiness may be hard to reason as a state of mind about nothing in particular, perhaps the absence of pain or conflict!. Joy seems to be reactionary for perhaps a specific reason or caused by some additive to the human condition!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
