Question: Is enlightenment found rationally or mystically!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Assuming there is such a thing as an enlightenment I would go with rationality!. Enlightenment seems like it should be an understanding of the whole!. To be enlightened is to have an understanding of ones place within the totality of the world!. I would expect one could communicate this enlightenment to others hence one need rationality to explain it to others!. Mystics could claim anything but how would one know if they were truly enlightened!? So my vote is for rationality!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Enlightenment is found in the Buddhist religion!. They strive to be enlightened all their lives!. Because most of them don't want to be on the short end of the stick, they tell everyone that they are, indeed, enlightened!. This is an indication that they know the truth about everything!. What happens is that everyone walks around knowing the truth about everything!. Of course, they are all lying!. They don't want to be caught lying so they have to pretend they know everything!. It is a very stiff and uncomfortable way to live!. You have to pity the poor Buddhist!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
