To believe without substantial proof = faith

Here is Martin Luther King's definition:
"Faith is a living, bold trust in God's grace, so certain of
God's favor that it would risk death a thousand times trusting in it!.
Such confidence and knowledge of God's grace makes you happy,
joyful and bold in your relationship to God and all creatures!. The
Holy Spirit makes this happen through faith!. Because of it, you
freely, willingly and joyfully do good to everyone, serve
everyone, suffer all kinds of things, love and praise the God who
has shown you such grace!. Thus, it is just as impossible to
separate faith and works as it is to separate heat and light from
fire! Therefore, watch out for your own false ideas and guard
against good-for-nothing gossips, who think they're smart enough
to define faith and works, but really are the greatest of fools!.
Ask God to work faith in you, or you will remain forever without
faith, no matter what you wish, say or can do!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Classical Philosopher might respond by pointing out that 'Belief' differs from 'Knowledge'!. Therefore 'I can assert that the heavens contain stars,' but not that 'There is a God!.'
Thus certainty and faith are not really within the philosophical range of discussion EXCEPT for those who 'love God' and seek a metaphysical solution, in fact 'beyond knowing'!. Therefore 'MY Faith' is to be regarded differently to 'My Philosophy' because religion among like-mindedness might be regarded as a divine Catalyst!. However to extend this Catalyst as 'factual' might not be appropriate to other faiths and beliefs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The inability to think logically; where the make believe is accept as fact, without actual evidence for its existence!.

'In logic, 'begging the question,' has traditionally described a type of logical fallacy, (also called Petitio principii,) in which the proposition to be proved is assumed implicitly, or explicitly in one of the premises!.' Source: Wikipedia
