Question: For the art and the passion or for the money and the solid ground!?
So about three years ago I was on the street broke and I decided that I needed to go to college for a Batchlers degree because I felt like I had somethings missing in myself!. My passion is art and I can't express myself in my art in the way I need to and it sickins me! I just needed to know more and be a better less ignorant person!. So I have been working towards getting to go to the University to persue a 5 year degree by myself I have no family for support!. Along the way I have learned a very valuable skilled trade that I enjoy working at and that pays me $50,000 a year!. I am about 30 years old and I find myself torn within this delema!. I feel like life is short and I have something to show this world in the way of the arts!. I feel like I need to leave a mark and would have to be broke, to be a starving artist to do it!. What do I do!?! Www@QuestionHome@Com

What you don't mention is wether you want the ACCLAIM for your art,or wether you have a need to EXPRESS through art, wether anyone buys it/wants it, or not!. The ideal compromise would be to survive on $40,000 per year for two years, and spend $20,000 in two years on perfecting your art-form,or putting together a portfolio!.Don't say you can't survive on that much, you survived on the streets! Be who you are, be an artist!.!.!.but keep that valuable skill in your back pocket,'just in case'!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
