Whats a tautology!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
tautology is a repetition of meaning in a phrase using different words, often done unintentionally!.

Sometimes it's used to emphasize meaning such as "free gift" a gift by definition is free, so the free serves to show the gift is given without return expectations or obligation!.

Othertimes it's unnecessary or repeated as another language or part of an acronym that means the same thing: Lake Tahoe= Lake Lake, new innovation; sufficiently adequate; PIN number= personal identification number number; RAS syndrome purposely ironically means Redundant Anacronyn Syndrome syndrome; Torpenhow Hill= hill hill hill Hill in four languages!

And then, it can be just plain hillarious!. Famous examples include Yogi Berra "We made too many wrong mistakes" and George Bush Jr "It's no exaggeration to say the undecideds could go one way or another!."

A logical tautology is also a phrase, often lengthy that's true but conveys no useful information!.!.!. politicians use this technique all the time to seem like they're saying something logical and intelligent, but really aren't saying anything at all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

tautology is an unnecessary repetition of meaning, using different words that say the same thing twice!. like when we say (suddenly, without warning) the first part (suddenly) already have the meaning of without warning so for us to add the second part (without warning) would be tautology!. some times tautology is Intentional repetition of meaning to stress certain fact like when retailer advertise a product with free gift we all know that gifts are free anyway, here they meant to say that there is no hidden fees associated with this free gift!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
