Question: Is common sense the beginning of philosophy!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes in two different senses!. One philosophy always starts with the common opinions of the non-philosophical when it attempts to find truth!. That's what the Socratic method is all about!. Two, philosophy can only establish it's truth by understanding the senses we all share in common!. Knowledge must be judged before the bar of objective reality, which is only experienced by the senses we hold in common!. So philosophy is a child of common sense in two different ways that we mean by common sense, commonsense as common opinion and as the senses common to us all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, not at all!. If you know the meaning of philosophy then you would know it's origin!. The meaning of philosophy is love of wisdom!. So the beginning of Philosophy is a person who loves wisdom!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think not! Usually the more you use your brain the less common sense you seem to have!Www@QuestionHome@Com
