Not always!.Plato believed in the world of forms and ideas!. Basically, "reality" is naught but a shadow of what is really going on!. So if you believe that someone is there to change your life, they could just be there to motivate to get going!. After all, how can we be sure that anything outside of our minds even exists, if our mind is all we know!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, if you believe that everything in your life has purpose and is meaningful, then definitely the people that come into your life will also have meaning!.

As far as changing your life, yes relationships can change a person's life!.

Whether or not the relationship is a success or failure or anything in-between, this can change your perceptions and beliefs about friendships and intimate relationships as well!.

As far as actions are concerned, there can be many influences and yes, you can be influenced by someone to do something that you ordinarily wouldn't contemplate on your own - isn't peer pressure, an example of this!?

Regarding responsibility for your actions, yes, you are responsible, but there can be extenuating circumstances - isn't this seen in a court of law, when for example, a person killed another person, but instead of it being called murder, it is called self-defense or even if it is murder, we should take into account that this person was abused by the person he murdered (as an example)!.

i wouldn't really say "people" are placed in one's life to change it!.

i would say, circumstances, inevitable and corrigible ones are placed in our lives- they happen, and they do change us to become better or worse persons that we are!.

if you let others play a role in changing your life, then you are weak person living on ideals!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not convinced that there is some sort of cosmic plan for our lives but then I'm not sure their isn't!.

it is a wonderful fact of life that there are times when those truly positive people meet!.

Well, changing your life is not purely based on the people that come and go with it!. You're right, WE MAKE OUR DECISIONS, those people are just influences and that they give us more options in making decisions!. That is why we should choose the people we listen to!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
