Life purposes will present themselves on a persons path!. Yet, the person needs to be an active participant of that which is before them for that (purpose, opportunity, direction)to take flight!.

Many stories have been heard about opportunities being right in front a person and that person takes no action !. !. !. thus the opportunity fades out and away!.

We have gift of Free Will!. Free will is conscious active choice!. That's where the "work " comes in!. Some appreciate the opportunity (purpose) that's seen before them, yet they don't want to do the "work" that's required to breath life into that opportunity, purpose!.

You can go looking, and often what you will find is not for you!. Indeed, what is there is often put there as temptation, distraction, or to spoil!.

When you stop looking, and start thinking, you start to discover something!. You discover what and who you are, which is perhaps more important than what you want to be!.

Will purpose find me!? I think that I will meet purpose at the time and place which it is destined to be!. Prior to that, one has been looking, one has been thinking, but purpose beyond existence eludes everyone!.

So given that there is no reason for being other than to be happy, I do that!.

I can find a thing only if I know something about that thing!. Like if I lost my dog I know I should be looking for a dog whose image is etched in my memory!. It is easy to find if I know where to look for it!.

By the same argument I can find the purpose of my life if I know something about it!. This is not something physical ( like my dog) or metaphysical!. It is philosophical and is all the more difficult!. I will be searching for this all my life , like looking for a needle in the haystack

But I am physical and I am wandering all the time with my physically active 5 sense organs!. Some purpose or activity is going on all the time!. One of them will interest me for sure !. It will interest me rather than I am getting interested in it!.

I believe my purposes in my life found me first!. In my opinion before we come into this world we have many purposes already written in the book of life!. Can we alter these purposes!? I believe we can, because we may not realize one of our purposes is right in front of us, so we let it pass us by, but somewhere down the road we go back to those purposes with a better understanding!.

I knew I would be a mother one day!. A gifted purpose from God, but even if I had not had children my love for mothering people was already rooted in me before I was born!. Such is the tree of life!.

I think we meet at an equilibrium, we meet half way, neither one goes all the way!. We both have a part but we cant just sit and wait for it to find us, nor go to the ends of the earth to find it!. Some people don't accept their purpose, so they live there life waiting until they die!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really truly think its a combo of both!. Me i think i have found mine just not working but seeing after those who cant see after themselves!. My brother in law for instance!. It just kinda fell into my lap!. I wasnt looking but i knew i had to take charge cause i was the only one available to do it!. He has no wife and no one at home to see after him !.
