It's a feeling of having meaning and purpose I think!. We desire that because so many people search for the purpose of life!. Some people find it by pursuing money, for some it's trying to be famous or beautiful, and some people try to give a lot!. Sadly, some people get into crime to be noticed!. Overall, though, I think this "struggle to be noticed" is a good thing in human nature, because like the other person said, otherwise it would be like we were giving up!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

it is irrelevant if you are noticed or not!. Just by your existence you make a difference!. Whether you notice it or not, all of your actions have some effect on others however slight they may be, regardless of what those actions are!. Their is nothing that can drown out your individuality, as we are all individual people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think it's a very natural situation to be living like we do, in cities of thousands or tens or hundreds of thousands of people, where one lives surrounded by strangers!. How different this experience is than living in a tribal society, where you know well everyone you come into contact with your whole life and everyone knows you!. I think that's closer to how we are "built" to live, and living so anonymously as we do is a source of great pain!. I think the positive mania for celebrity and fame that exists today comes from that to a large degree!. We need to be known!.

And it's obvious from the behavior of celebrities that fame does not provide this!. These are not contented people; they turn to drugs and alcohol to find what they have not found in fame!. They have admiration and idolization but they don't have simple human love!. And it's only in that that someone can become really known, can drop pretense and posing and be who they really are

And in that lies the answer to your second question!. We don't make a difference by struggling to get our heads above the crowd and be noticed, by being one more player in the struggle for status!. Even if we succeed in that, it just makes us one more in the army of celebrities that come for their fifteen minutes of fame and then go, as empty as before!. We make a difference by being who we really are and nurturing the same in others--being authentic human beings rather than status-seekers and celebrity idolizers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I only struggle to find my heart!. And when I do find it, I promise you that I will be noticed!. Not by people, but by something that always gets away from me!.

I guess it's a constant struggle for many to find their identity!. After all, it's the identity that people notice!.

I don't think we struggle to be noticed by everyone!. But we do struggle to be noticed by those who we respect, which are usually our peers, and I think it is validation!. Proof that we are worth something!. If other people like us then we can like ourselvesWww@QuestionHome@Com
