Lets also stop giving that adjective to those who stick around and raise their families--they're supposed to do that!. When CAN we designate the word "hero"!? When integrity is the only reason behind doing something!. Not to gain anything else other than a clear conscience!. And especially if the act is made harder by the fact that you have to go against the social norms to satisfy your own sense of right and wrong!. I'm not saying it isn't justified in some cases, but too many people use it, to describe someone else, to make themselves sound more gracious or more patriotic or more humble!.
