He basically stole from the rich and gave to the poor while protecting others from a corrupt government system back in the times where the King was away and a cruel prince took over like a greedy piece of , yada yada, etc!.

No!. Food is not a cure for starvation, but merely a temporary band aid!. Work and self reliance ARE the cures for starvation!. By stealing from the rich guy to feed the ten poor people we would not guarantee that they will not starve again once they have digested their food!.

Let's say that you continuously rob the rich guy in order to keep the poor alive!. Eventually, the rich guy will reach the same status as the ten poor, and the result is 11 people will die of starvation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. If I do so, I merely prolong their suffering!. Letting them die, cold as it may seem, would provide a better food to population ratio, and so more starving people would be saved in the long run!.

Edit: and I wonder how many of the people who've said "yes, in a heartbeat" have actually stolen from the rich!. There's a lot of rich people out there, and a lot of starving people out there, but a statistically lacking number of "Robin Hood"s, at least based upon the responses tallied here!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Helping the needy is indeed a really good thought, but robbing someone to help another is just unacceptable!. At least I wouldn't do that beacuse, firstly it is against the law (robbing someone) and the so called extremely rich person earnt his money by working very hard, it's his money!. Instead of rob from rich person, why don't I earn money by myself to feed the 10 poor ones OR why don't I ask the rich person in a good manner to feed the 10 poor people!. Rich man become rich in his own effort!. Either he cheat others to become rich or he earn by his self, the things he own is belongs to him only!. I don't think so its good to rob from him!. No!. Exposing one person to detriment is not justifiable, even if it means benefiting 100 others!. If there is a trolley full of people heading towards certain doom, but you can save them by throwing a fat man in front of the trolley, is it justifiable!? I think not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
