That is: What you don't understand may harm you!. Some people are stuck in fear, while others study and learn!. The informed have less to fear!. What you can't conquer can give you a feeling of frustration to the point of hate, possibly fear if to conquer is to survive!. A sense of failure can be debilitating, even if failure isn't life threatening!. Some people will study and train to overcome failure!. As the saying goes, knowledge is power!. Nature is the competition between these machines!. So here the deal!. EVERYTHING eats something!. And for every meal you've had something had to die!. So if you don't understand something (or someone) you might just want to be a bit afraid until you know you are not on it's menu!. Conquer means you control the violence!. To be conquered means someone else does!. Guess who decides who's for lunch!? So should you hate what you can't conquer!? If it's trying to conquer you, the answer is 'hell yes'!. When you live in a nice safe cocoon, it's easy to forget it's an artificial construct created by violent men with big guns!. Life is good when 911 gets you an armed man whose job it is to do violence against your predators!. Life sucks if only your predators are armed!. Spend a little time with the unconquered - you'll find the hate is quite rational!. Www@QuestionHome@Com Let's go back to the "design" bit!. I see no evidence for a design!. The human mind is more like all sorts of odds and ends through together in a large bucket called the brain and let there to sort of glom together over a few million years of evolution!. Sort of hard to find a design there!. Of course we see neurons going all over the place and you can even trace the ones from the senses to different locations and then back into a limbic smoothie of sorts!. I imagine that fear is how the mind/brain/body protects itself from unnecessary risks!. The greater the risk the greater the fear!. And if fear is great enough the human flips into fight or flight, depending on what it determines will reduce the risk back to an acceptable level!. Hate on the other hand is simply the expression of knowing that some goal cannot be achieved, whether it is peace, being left alone, having your lunch taken away by a bully, or someone beating you to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!. I'm not clear if you think that women are exempt from fear and hate, I would assume that by "man" you mean humans in general!. Hey, humans are humans!. The poor animals are not even domesticated yet!. And their breeding practices are atrocious!. It is an emotional response to a situation and comes from the instinctive mind (subconscious mind) which is our mechanism for survival -- fight or flight!. Our senses send us the messages along the nerve pathways which lead to the lower brain and thence to the frontal lobes, the conscious mind!. So what we have to do is to bring our fears out of the subconscious reactionary habit and look at them in the clear light of our conscious observation to see them for what they are!. Hate is derived from a sense of inadequacy on our part, and so is jealousy!. They are negative reactions to situations that may harm us in some way perhaps, a threat of some kind, depending on the situation!.
