Question: Philosophy and Lego!?
After my first day of Philosophy class, my teacher has given us a question to "think deeply about"!. The question is!.!.!.

This is extraordinary! I was actually thinking about lego in philosophy today! Honestly! And that's why I can give you several reasons from the top of my head:

1) Each lego piece is a basic building block that act like axioms to a philosophical system!. You build a whole system based on certain basics!.

2) Each lego piece is like a unit of substance and one can create the world with these units!.

3) With legos you can recreate the world, show how everything comes to being via aggregates and how they are demolished when they are torn apart!. Evolution and cosmology have their basis in this!.

4) With legos you can show that for example a particular "horse-like" shape is not a horse - a horse is only what we call that shape and form!. What it really is is a particular array of basic substance!.

So - lego is quite ingenious!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know!. that question was posed in the book Sophie's World, which is a fiction novel about the history of philosophy!. I would read it by the way its my 2nd favorite!. your teacher is looking for a couple of things most have been mentioned already by previous answerers!. However I have the book right here, i will read you the conclusions, so you can look smart in class!.
1!. easy to assemble even though they are all different!.
2!. the are also unbreakable
3!. with them you can construct any kind of object then separate them and create something new!.
4!. basic building blocks like atoms!.

don't recite word for word though, otherwise she will know that you got them from the book!.

also, i would go check out the book so you can get a jump on the next question!. There are a lot of questions like that in the book!. Your teacher might be going by that specific book!. and if he/she isn't, it is still a great read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lego blocks, promote unlimited creativity!. They are solely about thinking and creating!. You can create thousands of different things with the same set of blocks!.

The reason your teacher asked this is because the basis of Philosophy is critical thinking!. This a very easy (and not even that weird) question compared to some that you will encounter in your class!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can make almost anything with them, so they don't lose their entertainment value!. They also are constantly coming out with new pieces and doodads that you can use to make even more things, so the really ingenious part is that they make so much money on them!. also, if you think of what it probably costs to make them, versus what they sell for, it's ingenious that they can realize such a huge profit margin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's not a matter of people expressing creativity!. The reason why Legos are the most ingenious toy ever is simple:
The Lego should be the end to all other toys because you can make any toy you would want out of Legos!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
