It's what a Zen master would come up with, too!. You ask them a spiritual question and they'll answer with carpet worries!. You ask them about your carpet and they'll give you a metaphysical koan puzzle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What's payment if everything is an illusion!? However just like stories and dreams have contexts this illusion of yours could have a story arc so you could have overpaid for the carpet!. Of course, the context isn't real but within the fake reality of the illusion its real!. The Matrix would been more interesting philosophically if the characters still had to go about their normal lives while knowing the world was a fake!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You cannot overpay for something that doesn't exist, and you can't spend money in your checking account that doesn't exist, and you can't get an overdraft note from a bank that doesn't exist!.

What's not to get!? I consider the deepest questions of humanity throughout all ages, and I also read and answer silly Yahoo! questions like yours!.

If that makes me similar to Woody Allen, wow, I hate to admit it, but I guess it's true, except I have angst over nothing, and you claim he has angst over everything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Come on now!.
This is the philosophy section!. You can't ask 'whether or not grass exists' without having someone ask you for the definition or whether, or, not, grass and exist and giving you a ten page essay about all of the above!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The carpet may seem real to your senses now but in the future it will disintegrate into dust bunnies and be blown away in the wind!. Sorry you overpaid on it though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

here's a logical answer for the joke:

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one: Albert EinsteinWww@QuestionHome@Com

i think you're missing the point of your idea that nothing exists (i won't bother you with trying to justify that position)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

woa!. nothing exists!. its an illusion!. that sounds depressing!.!.!. i like the first guyz answer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh!.!.!.I gotchya!

Hmm!.!.!.

Kind of like someone who can't swim is about to jump into a 9 ft pool, and his only worry is how cold the water is going to be!.!.!.!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
