Question: I don't see how you can be too happy knowing that you're not making alot of money!?
Is that wrong!? I think money is good!. It gets you things!. If I am not going to get paid well, then I'm not going to be happy!. Do what you love, but I can't love it if it's going to put my family in squalor!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree 100%!. My husband doesn't understand it!. He thinks it's okay to be poor as long as you love what you're doing!. I don't think so!. I know I love my clothes and jewelry and having a nice roof over my head!.!.!.not a shack!. Most importantly I like my kids being the best dressed kids and getting 40 presents for Christmas!. It's fun, maybe I'm materialistic but I like do be able to do things and afford whatever I want!. I like my nice car and I wouldn't give up my life so my hubby can be an under paid firefighter!. Right now we're in the military and live comfortably, why give that up just because it's no ideal all the time! I like the idea of paying for my daughter wedding and buying bot my kids "beaters" when they turn 16 and sending them to college and them not worrying about the whole school bill!. I also think it depends on your upbringing!. I grew up poor, my husband was a military brat and his mom was a very hard worker him and his siblings didn't want for anything!. I never got anything I wanted!. But I agree with you, money is important!. With money you buy things you want!.When you can't have things you want it's depressing Www@QuestionHome@Com

Money is only one aspect of life, trade of one good for another!. You can be rich but unhappy, it's a human mentality to desire what you don't have!. There are various things money can't buy, money can't buy knowledge, wisdom, varioius emotions and many other things!.

Being materialistic can be very harmful!.

While money is important in the current world, expecially with our ever increasing population, it is not the most important aspect in life!. My parents generation can relate to this moreso than I can, but it's not an ungraspable understanding!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You are a materialist, which equates with greed and such does great harm to ones self and to others!.
Please, to remember, coffins do not have pockets so you can take your "cash" with you and hearses do not have luggage racks!.
Karma is to experience the consequences of ones own and self chosen actions and thoughts, even if the same is chosen unconsciously!.
How much does one really and truly "need" as opposed to how much one may "want"!.
Perhaps you will be fortunate enough to live outside of the capitalistic and consumer minded West so that you might experience and learn who you are, the true cause of suffering and the meaning of "being"!.

May it be well with you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Money does not make people happy!. Happiness is those precious moments in time, not a state of mind!. To attain happiness is ludicrous as it means you are missing out on all those moments that make you happy!.

Some of the most fun I have had I have not been able to rub two cents together!. It didn't make those moments any less special because I didn't have money!.

Being happy within yourself is more important than anything money can buy you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's always someone who is ready with a quick scripture quotation guaranteed to make you angry and/or depressed!.!.!.!.! Note, though, that St Paul did say the LOVE of money, not money in itself, was the root of all evil - God knows that we need money and other stuff to survive in this life, but He also says it is not the most important thing in life!.!.!.that we need to think about eternal values first, and then trust Him to provide for our human needs!. Now I'm sounding pious, better stop here!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

All you need is a roof over you're head, clothes on your back, know where you're next meal is coming from and happiness!.

The last one is the most difficult, if you say you need money to be happy then that's how it is for you - big mistake!. Don't put any conditions on being happy and it just happens, so simple its difficult!.
