Question: 'Carpe Diem' is seen by many as the ideal motto to live by!. But how easy is it to do so in reality!?

In reality, Carpe Diem is in fact the best way to live life!. However, in order for the practice of seizing the day to be truly successful meaning without causing unwanted, harmful effects and reactions in one's or others' lives, it has to be accompanied by thorough understanding and awareness of what is happening everywhere around us at all times!.

Seizing the day and making it the best it can be would have to start with the first and foremost decision of becoming well informed about any action that one may have the drive or desire to take!. Once one knows where one stands and where one wants to go, based on what one has found out at the beginning of the day about what is happening in the world (which is our community), one can go on seizing the opportunities that arise throughout the day that will make possible the achievement of making the day the best day it can be!.

For example, a business person sees the opportunity of closing a deal that will make him 10 million dollars in a minute!. Will it really be a good decision if he didn't take the time to find out that the money he will make comes from the manufacture of a certain product that will produce extremely large amounts of pollution that will be dumped into the back yard of the house of one or more of his or her family members in a state or country that lies 3000 miles away from where he lives!?

One must remember that every little entity in the universe affects each other!. So, in order to truly seize the day, one has to keep in mind that everything has to be done for the greater good!. Seizing the day for strictly isolated selfish purposes is actually not seizing the day at all!. Knowing the ultimate truth of the fact what's good for one is good for all is the reason for Carpe Diem!.

Seizing the day is for making the most and best out of life!. Making the best and most out of life requires a complete investment of all our energy, faculties and abilities!. Using our full potential is Carpe Diem!. And our potential is so great!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Carpe Diem means seize the day but with so many definitions of seize how can we be sure what it actualy means!? One definition of seize is to grasp mentally; understand clearly and completely: to seize!. If we chose this as the motto to live by (to understand the day) I beleive it would be more of a mental challenge whereas if you where to use the definition to take hold of suddenly or forcibly; grasp: to seize (for example) your setting yourself a physical challenge!. Now personally the first one is a motto I could happily live by as I like to analyze things and situations!. At the end of each day I sit for a few moments and think about the days events and try to understand why I think they happpened (its a perfect link to the phrase everything happens for a reason), once I understand my day then I have seized it!. I hope this helps x x xWww@QuestionHome@Com
