I don't like my life!.

Throughout my school years I was bullied for being socially awkward due to having an undiagnosed "hidden" disability, and used to spend everyday there keeping to myself!. From the time I was 11-14 I lived with my clinically sociopathic stepfather and his two children who I used to see and hear being beaten on an almost weekly basis!. At age 14 I left high school because I developed depression and entered a state of psychosis, believing that a serial killers son lived down my street and that there were bodies in his car!. I got treatment, recovered from the psychosis, but the depression stayed and at 15, I tried to kill myself!. I tried different therapies, medication and rehab programs but nothing seemed to help!. I eventually stopped trying, isolating myself in my bedroom all day, nearly everyday, with the exception of appointments and the occassional trip to the store!. I'm now 17, have no social life, a family who's disappointed in me and a depression that wont go away!. Why should I like my life!? I see no reason to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, yeah, and no!. Yes, I like my life, because I feel fortunate to be living under a nice roof, have food on the table, have a caring family, etc, while others in the world are suffering from famine and poverty and aren't as fortunate as I am!. I'm lucky to be able to live in a land with rights, rather than be confined in a government where they shun your opinions!. I'm luck to be able to have clean water to drink, to shower in, to swim in, while others who aren't as fortunate are forced to drink dirty water!. I know I am fortunate for having this life!.

But, no, because I know it could be improved in a number of ways, such as socially, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, etc!. But that's only based off of the fact that I've always had an ambition to improve!.

I like my life because it is strange the way things turn out!. One moment I feel like an outcast struggling with a degree program and just want to get out of school!. The next moment I am in a job of my life!. The next moment I come off the high, The next moment my spirituality brings me back to the surface again and helps me face reality!. The next moment I am at a party and having the time of my life!. The next moment, I am sad!. The next moment I am playing Wii Sports: my favorite is the boxing, I have to be careful because to appreciate life has been to appreciate quiet moments, party moments, traffic jams, incredible feasting, fasting, good friends, my family, my God, my country!. In the midst of awkwardness of growing pains comes the realization that I am okay!. I am okay and even thought there are challenges and frustrations along side the joys of living spiritually, I would not change a thing!. All my life lessons are summed up in the love that is unfailing: agape love!. People will always disappoint you but God's love endures forever!.

Im 16, work full time in the summer, and go to highschool every september!. I hate my school, I love my job !.!.!.!. yet im still an extrememly happy person!.

My mood fluctuates as the seasons go on, ie im more depressed in teh winter time becuase i hate the cold, and im more up-beat in the summer becuase i love the warmth!.

That's a difficult question!. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't!. I have gone through the happiest and the most miserable!. But it's definitely worth living, I'll tell you that!. Just the diversity of it all is astounding!. But there are of course those days where you just want to curl up and die!. I'm 17!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
