There are several elevations of the human mind!.

Plotinus, Confucius, Husserl, Plato, Whitehead, and Bergson are among those philosophers whose personal testimony (and even that of their students) indicate a plane of awareness touching on the eternal and infinite!.

For example, Plotinus experienced out-of-body awareness and learning on a regular basis (his student Porphyry reported several accounts)!. Husserl claimed to teach God-awareness to scientists, and his best students testified to a permanent change and elevation of awareness!. (E!.g!., Edith Stein and others!.) Confucius stated he knew of higher Being, but that his vocation was on earth!.

This does not diminish e!.g!. Kant's logicism, Spinoza's intuitive reductionism, Wittgenstein's radical questioning, etc!.

"The Path of the Higher Self," Mark Prophet, refers to several of these philosophers, and is worthwhile reading in itself!.

depends on the individual!.

I feel like I can grasp nearly any concept another man can imagine!. But our generation has had access to mass-information thru electronic media so there really can be no comparison!. It's like asking if Jim Thorpe could have tackled Adrian Peterson!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
