To get what we deserve is to be awarded for behaviour or consistency, under the premise/belief that "life is fair" (where rewards are given as well as penalties given out)!. However, in reality life is not necessarily fair and "bad things happen to good people"!. So I think no, we don't always get what we deserve, but there is a potential to get "just desserts"!. It is based on our belief system more than a logical and systematic conclusion!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Every choice we make branches off into millions of outcomes!. Everything we do, everything we say, everything we eat, all leads into a different outcome!. What we get, at the end of all these outcomes, is the result of all our choices we've ever made!.
For example, I could be walking down the street and see someone I hate!. I could kill them, or walk on!. By taking the first option, I would get what I deserve [imprisonment]!. By taking the second option, I would also get what I deserve [mature decision, and self-peace]!.

no, some vile rat bastards get away with murder, some ambitioneless,selfish/entitled dimwits inherit lots of money and property!. some pedophiles, call themselves holy, and molest children ,as the church protects them and shuttles them around to different communities!.
