Question: If there were "slaves" who felt that they had complete control over their lives,would they really be "slaves"!?

I consider the American public slaves in that way!. We feel very in control because we can decide when and where to buy a wide array of cheap plastic trash!. However we have no control over what we personally are contributing to because once we give our money to corporations and government, they do all kinds of things with it that we as individuals find horrible!. And if you can't control what the fruits of your labor are being used to promote, all your powers of consumerism are pretty hollow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yep!. If you call them slaves you are doing it for a reason that has some bearing on the reality they endure!. Otherwise you wouldn't call them slaves!.
