You first have to define the word "exist" and what kind of attribute you consider something as to "existing"!.

I can prove that i exist to myself, but i cannot to you with this kind of reasoning unless i can prove to you that i can think(like at this instant), but if you think that is not a good enough proof for you then i will offer tangible evidence like my body!. The fact that I'm writing this proves to you that I exist!. As far as I know myself, I have a body, emotions and a mind, all of which I identify myself as, and that means I exist!. I don't know what it would be like without having a body to know I exist!. Emotions and thoughts are somewhat ethereal and relative, so I don't identify that much with them!. But my body is a pretty solid fact, however much it's just colliding atoms or nothing at all, nothing still exist, even if it exist as non-existence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I exist because other people say I exist because they recognize me and interact with me!. Otherwise I would be a ghost and therefore I wouldn't exist!.

Existence of self is relative to others in terms that other have to recognize you to exist to you to exist in the very sense of existence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You could look at the philosophical theory of Idealism!. That we live in the mind and that our existence is false!. Now that's a very basic explanation!.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to write "Idealism" in your search, and go onto Wikipedia!. It gives chapter and verse on this!.

From a Christian standpoint!.!.!.!. god has given me the ingredients to become a living soul, that is His breath of life <spirit> + a body to dwell in

= that equals a living soul, take either away and I would cease to exist!.

I can preform the functionary tasks to survive, ie!. breathing, eating, thinking, etc!.
so by definition !.!.!. yes I exist!.
