Question: I don't care!.I'll ask!.!?
I'm probably gonna get some baaad feedback for asking this, but here goes(bear in mind that although it sounds like it is, it is NOT a rhetorical or sarcastic question,I'm totally genuine):

How can one compromise in their heads, that is,how can one be intellectually decent, whilst being at the same time a follower of a religion(most of which stating that you can only be saved through THEIR path),any religion,AND being of the opinion that one can choose any religion they want, because maybe all of them are equal, and seeming totally ok and cool with that fact and not looking down on other people!.That is,how can you fully realize the objectivity of it all,and at the same time being a believer!?You HAVE to believe in the superiority of your religion so as not to follow any other, don't you!?And you probably have to believe in the superiority of yourself, the fact that YOU have seen the truth and other people haven't!.

It is maybe a well-known contradiction in the bible itself, from what I hear it probably states BOTH that people are given the freedom to choose what they like AND that if you are a non-believer,you'll end up in hell!.But I am not asking about scriptures,I'm asking about people!.And if people follow scriptures, well,it's not exactly the same contradiction I'm talking about either!.

(There is a big difference in those two states of minds-I may hold a belief or an opinion in a certain period of time, but at the same time being totally conscious of the fact that it might change, just like the previous one I held also changed-and then there's another--I hold a belief and although I'm not going to start a war on people who differ,I totally believe I am on the right side)

Okay, maybe I'm simply stuck in a non-existent dilemma!. Sorry for typing too many!.Any good comments would be appreciated!.
PS:l am not in any way saying that the only way of being intellectually decent and being a religious follower would be to be a jihand fanatic or something,of course!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"you probably have to believe in the superiority of yourself, the fact that YOU have seen the truth and other people haven't!." yes this is what religious people believe!. that's why they do look down on other people and say they don't or they simply try to change their minds and make them "see the truth"!.
"maybe I'm simply stuck in a non-existent dilemma" you're not!.

There is only one religion; but there are two ways to be saved!. The one is to know the truth, and be accountable; the other is to know nothing about the truth, and be what you are!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hindu's have a saying that goes "All Paths Lead To The Truth"!. So you don't have to believe you're religion is the right one, just choose the path that suits you and understand that some paths may be shorter/longer than others and some paths may be smoother/rougher than others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
