I have built up a resistance after so many end of the worlds in my life!.

"Scientists are forecasting that soon our solar system will experience some unique and sobering events!. This forecast concerning 1982 comes from the scientific investigations of astronomers and is in no way related to astrology and fortune telling!.
That was the first countdown I can remember!.

Here are over 200 more!.

Your state of mind is sensitive, it is fragile and easily can be influenced or even manipulated if your not strong!. To be in any presence of insanity or those with unstabled thinking is very negative and yet appealing!. You get hooked on how opposite they are to you, are strange like looking through a looking glass to an exotic species!. People can be attracted to things opposite of them or just different like negativity or insanity or creepiness!. So yeah stories do affect me even though i don't want to admit it but they do they get you thinking and a little paranoid so you look into or try to say no that will never happen!. But it definately invades it creeps up on you and slithers through the cracks and spreads like a fatal disease!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I find most of them amusing!. It's fascinating to try understanding where all the conspiracy theories come from, and the reasons people give to back them up!. It's also fun to see if you can find any loopholes!.!.!. But be careful who you actually point those out to, since some people can be VERY touchy/defensive about their conspiracies!.

Have you ever tried explaining your own conspiracy (real or made up on the spot) to a hard-core conspiracy theorist!? It's great seeing what they come up with to refute your theory!. They can get crazy! ;DWww@QuestionHome@Com

When I was 17 yrs old, I read, in a magazine article, that the world was going to end on Sept!. 17, 1999!. The only people left alive on that date would be the ones circling the globe in a space station!. It also said that Holland would be destroyed by melting ice caps sometime in 1988!.!.!.blah, blah, blah!. I can remember getting all sorts of creep-ed out over this because I allowed myself to believe it!. Then in 1999, what happened !? Well, we're still here!. Then there was the Millennium scare that the world's computers would mostly crash when it turned to the year 2000!. PHHTTT !!! I think all this "hype" about 2012 and the Freemasons, etc!. is media propaganda because someone, somewhere took it and ran with it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Us "entrenched in reality" people, know that THAT kind of stuff is ridiculous, childish, and foolish!.!.!.however!.!.!.

Almost ALL of the people who hold "those goofy beliefs," if you investigated their past educational experience "for real," you would find people that barely know how to read, let alone form "sane" viewpoints about the little or the "big picture!.!.!."

And that is why I'm a Democrat!.!.!.I believe that it is our Christian Duty (and by the way, I'm Agnostic) to impose a "good samaritan tax" on the rich, because while they "claim" trickle down economics!.!.!.it doth NOT work that way in "Harsh Reality!.!.!."

I rest my case!.!.!.ta tum tum!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Thats funny i recently asked if anyone believes in the Mayan Calendar!. Things like that are very creepy and you cant really avoid them!. People are going to believe things and they are going to let everyone know that they believe it!. I personally don't let stuff like that get to me (even though i believe in some of them ;)!.!.!.) but in my opinion it's always fun and exciting to wonder without letting it get out of hand (always look for the facts)!. And if in fact the world is going to end Sunday December 23rd 2012!.!.bring it!.!.what am I going to do about it!.

Just shrug!. Some people will find all sorts of ways to make themselves afraid, nervous and anxious!. Like any coin, there are two sides, but the person who has convinced themselves of 2012, for example, is not willing to look at a balanced perspective!.

Of course, if someone is trying to make you feel anxious and consider the end of the world, you might want to question their motivation in doing so!.

Nobody gets out of life alive anyway!. I might die before the end of the world (in fact, that's quite likely)!. Thinking that the world will end 12/23/12 is a pretty lame excuse to avoid buying Christmas presents a few years from now!. They can't invade my sanity with their creepiness -they'd have to find it first!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

those stories serve as a reminder that you will die!.!.!.that is their only purpose!.!.!.whether they happen or not won't change the fact that you could die today so really what difference does it make!.!.!.at least if we all go together you won't have to deal with the loss of a loved one and they won't have to deal with the loss of you :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

i actually get a kick out of these paranoid theories people believe because it all starts with one higher power who feeds them these shenanigans!.!.!.

and then word gets around!.!.!.people twist the story!.!.
they add their own side to it with a twist of some exaggeration's!.!.
and it goes around in circles & circles!.!.!.
Then it gets to you and they want to drill their beliefs in your system

i just shrug them off!.!.!.maybe one day i will get the last laugh!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if indeed something monsteriors happens on 2012 there will be definite signs its not like god is going to pop out of the sky on 2012 december 23 12:00:01 am!. and say "all dead" and we all drop!. that would be redundent!. im sure if the world thought it was in danger we would all stop doing wars and such go build humangus space ships and go live on mars!. wouldnt that be super fun! i mean mars!. cmon its all rock ! talk about territory wars!. o well ill go off and live on one of saturns moon sounds satisfying to me atleas!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not seeing the sun or feeling it's warmth upon my body makes me more crazy than nonsense about 2012 or some religious plot to end the world!. I'm 59, may not be alive by then so for me to sweat it seems like a waste of precious time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

2012!?hell i better get packed!.actually i would have to say spycics!.they always make it seem like they can read you!.if there were spycics how come nobody has come forward with info on that missing little girl in fla Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. See them for what they are!. People love a conspiracy theory, and especially people that are on the outside and feel they have little control over their lives!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you allow things like that to affect you that way, you're probably one of those people that get scared watching a horror film!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm more of an optimist and just ignore such claims!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I don't let such loose talks invade my sanity!. I think I have an in-built filter!. I mentally shrug them all off!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
