Question: Hypothetical: If you had to choose between saving the life of your beloved pet or the life of a person !.!.!.!.!?

Even though I cannot conceive of having a hand in someone's death, I would have to pick my beloved pet!. Actually, I have 5 right now, and I know what kind of love and attachment I have for all of them!. I am responsible for them, and love my time to just sit with them and run my fingers through their hair!. I love when I come home and they are barking and so verbally excited to see me!. They want nothing more than my attention!. I am emotionally involved and attached to them!. Where as I would not have any emotional feelings or attachments to someone who I considered my enemy!.

I would save my pet, because that is my duty, my responsibility, and with saving my pet I would hope I would be saving myself from the heartache I know I would feel from a loss!.

Your enemy is still a person, and by saving your enemy you are given the chance to make things better between you and your enemy!. Although you love your pet dearly, you know that the pet is leaving on good terms with you and your pet is dying but is loved!. also, there is nothing more precious than a human life!. This one would choose to save the human being first, regardless of whether said person considered himself this ones enemy or not as this one personally chooses to have no enemies but, rather to walk the path of peace following the way pointed to him by O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba!.

A human being has already attained to a level of conscious awareness that is above that of a lower being such as a beloved pet and, perhaps, such an event might prove to be the moment of full enlightenment for said person!. In any event, such would provide the human with the opportunity to seek enlightenment and perhaps to help or be beneficial to others during the remainder of this present lifetime!.

A lower animal, in all probability, may have already attained to the highest level of enlightenment that it may be able to attain in this present lifetime by having been of benefit to this one and others by having been loved and having returned that love!. This one would pray for that animal's good re-birth in the next lifetime and hope that we might be reunited therein!.

Of course, after having assisted the human being out of harms way, this one would also return in an attempt to do the same for his beloved pet (which at present would include a corn snake, a grey tabby cat and two parakeets with the possiblity of others being added as my seven year old daughter continues to gather the animals for our "ark" of an apartment in the very rainfilled state of Massachusetts!.!.!.smile)!.

any day!. Sounds silly, right!? It's probably not
prudent nor advisable; still, how do you even compare
a living, loving creature with no soul, to any human
as far as the value of life goes!.!.according to God!?
Should pets be loved!? Why of course! I love both
of mine tremendously!. But Christ instructs us to love
one another (humans) and did not include any pets or animals
to that list of commands!. And by love, he doesn't mean
we can't dislike or even hate their ways/behaviors!. Hate the sins,
but love the sinners!.

Hypothetically speaking I do not know a person whom I consider my enemy!?!?!?
For some reason this question has stumped me for that reason!.
Should I think about a person in general say a stranger!?
Should just assume that not having an enemy resolves the problem because the pet is all there is left to save!?
