It's subjective!. Depends on who you are talking to, what the situation is, how well you know them!. 'It will be ok' seems to get used a lot when the situation is foreign to the sympathiser or when the person doesn't know the other extraordinarily well!. Conversely, sometimes that's just what you (or at least, I) want to hear!.!.!.that things will get better, this time will pass and eventually it WILL be ok!.

I get what you're questioning though!. It is a bit of a tired cliche!. I try and get to the root of the problem before trying to give advice, or consolations!. And sometimes it's best to say nothing at all, and just be there!. :) Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't tell anyone "It's ok" unless they're imagining something or having some sort of nightmare!. I tell people "It's going to be ok!." Things change, and will never be the same after something bad, but the victim of that change will be okay eventually, it just takes time!.

I tell certain people that I'm there for them, and care about them!. They can come to me whenever they need me, I'll be there!. I let them know they have support!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I tell the truth, but you never know when it will be okay, so I guess it is okay!. The thing I would tell them is "Get over it!." That is some the best advice you can give someone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
