Because people may not agree with god!. Since we are more concerned with how we appear to other beings closer to us, that is the people around us, and with our self-perception is affected by their views, some among us are quite right in thinking that they are not beautiful!. It would be foolish for me to believe that I am as good looking as Hrithik Roshan, for example!. However, there might be other rare people who might think I am beautiful, and that is enough for me!. So should it be enough for other such people who are not beautiful in the conventional sense of the term!. We begin to find beauty even in people who are ugly in the conventional sense when we come to know them better!. Because outer beauty is only skin deep, we find other marks of beauty within the person we know more intimately!. Human psychology prevents most of us from reaching the state of faith required to accept our attributes as either beautiful or transient and meaningless!. Both touted by religion and philosophy, either belief system can render our passing through this world more tranquil!. We must never blame what the Powers That Be for any suffering we feel ("No one likes me because of the way I look," is the same as "Why me, Lord!?"); never doubt or question the existence of that Supreme Being, though we have no physical proof of Her existence, and most humans doubt without physical proof; never question the beneficence of that Supreme Being; and refuse to doubt these beliefs, no matter how bad our situation gets!.

What a trial the ravages of severe burns would be to a believer who has faith the creation of God cannot be ugly! The faith IS, no matter what!. Yet the human who observed it in the past may not have the strength to embrace the faith through disaster and contradiction!.

When the most holy sometimes have doubts, and they do, unquestioning belief is revealed as pretty tall order for the average man or woman!. It's the journey of a lifetime!.
