Two qualities which are like double-edged swords!. Properly handled they are a source of inspiration; mixed with anger or impatience, they may lead to chaos or tragedy!.

I would treat both with moderation!. Too much pride can be seen as arrogance and makes one self-centred, which is a negative trait!. Giving way a little to the fairer sex, to humble oneself sometimes, for the sake of love, may be a good thing!. So Love should stay on top!.

In many Third world countries however, due to pride or principle, many fathers resort to 'honour killings' against their wives or daughters involved in sexual sins!. This is of course being frowned upon in a First world country!. I suppose the issues of asserting one's pride or love will depend also on which society, culture or custom one belongs to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
