Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Xenophon wrote a book called "Oeconomicus", meaning "household management" and from which we get the word "Economics"!. In this book, Xenophon describes how a household should be managed!. He believed that the household is responsible for two relationships: first, its relationship to the members of the household, and second, its relationship to the other households in the community!. In the first few chapters, he describes the first relationship as the responsibility of women and the second as the responsibility of men, but the importance of these responsibilities is equal!. In the middle of the book, he describes the first as a feminine responsibility and the second as a masculine responsibility and acknowledges that some women can be masculine and some men can be feminine!. By the end of the book, he does not describe either responsibility in terms of gender!. His point, which was very controversial at the time, is that so long as both responsibilities are being taken care of, it doesn't matter who does them!. What matters is that the man and the woman work together as a team!.
