The US is about the most active in earth/green programs!. For ages now!. I guess you've never been to Epcot in Orlando!. It has one of the most advanced research facility in providing a more efficient and most responsible use of our natural resources!. And, that's been there since the 70's!. And EPA standards have been put in place for over 20 years!. Gosh, they even put up with drought conditions in Atlanta Georgia just so some endangered minnows (or some kind of water animal) in Florida can keep their natural habitat!. The thing that bothers me is when they overdo environmental responsibility to the point of impeding responsible progress!. also bothers me when they make it a political lobby or a government function designed to charge people "carbon usage" fees! If you really care about the world you live in, then, open up your eyes and do your own research then act on it in your own backyard!. Stop listening to all these people who threatens you with doom and gloom without a shred of scientific evidence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com "No one" is an awfully broad statement!. There ARE people who care!. We just don't make up a majority, and we're not obvious, much of the time!. We do what we do quietly, because we think it's right, not because we expect to get noticed!. If you sit down and think about everything that is wrong in the world, all the starving children, poverty, pollution, murders, rapists, child molesters, the world basically going to hell, etc!., no one with any type of conscious or soul could remain unaffected!. It sounds terrible to say, but personally I try to think about those things as little as possible because when I think about it it literally makes me cry!. Every time I see an Amber Alert I break down and cry no matter what I'm doing, just thinking about the mother who doesn't know where her baby is!. There is only so much one person can do, so there's no sense in sitting around worrying about all the problems of the world!. I do my best to give what I can to charities, donate food and clothes, but beyond that, what can you do!?Www@QuestionHome@Com LITTLE things makes hardly no changes!. the big issue is actually energy (food, electricity, basically all the things we need), believe it or not, we just dont appreciate having everything on demand!. energy goes in GREAT demand that the world are willing to sacrifice the world for it!. oil, coal, gas!. oil-plastic bags=people want, people cant be bothered to dispose of it properly!. it all boils down to MONEY!.Www@QuestionHome@Com People do care but they care about themselves more - I led conservation working holidays for ten years but then I settled down and now have to spend so much effort just to try a maintain a basic level of existence that I barely have time to do that much!. I think one reason some people do not care is because they are to busy living there own life, or they feel abused by the earth, as though all the bad stuff that happened to them is the world's falt!.
