Doubtful!. If a pool of water is very choppy, it is essentially impossible to notice the tiny ripples!. However, if that same pool is very, very still, even a tiny ripple will be very observable and beautiful!.

A person who loves to listen to very loud music may have trouble enjoying (or even hearing) music that is very quiet; conversely, a person who loves very quiet music will be disturbed by very loud music!.

Edit: I caught myself!.!.!.loud and quiet are merely two extremes!. Interesting!.!.!.what really is subtle then!? Isn't subtle just extreme in the opposite direction (as in, extremely unextreme)!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it is much harder for someone who is usually blunt, violent or aggressive to be tactful in his words or actions!.
He is already addicted to an extreme style so how can he be subtle at the same time!? These are two extremes!. Likewise a person who is objective and tactful will not often go to extremes!. Unfortunately in reality, the percentage of persons who practise lots of subtlety or tact, and normally of a mild temperament , is very small indeed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not exactly someone who "loves" the extremes can know the real meaning of subtlety!. There are times when you are just swayed down to the middle of both extremities in life and you have no choice but to tackle these subtleties whether you love such or not!. And in the end you become a master of your own mistakes, aspirations, and successes giving you a wide width of understanding what subtlety is all about!. Hey, if you asked me, i never loved to be what i am now, but i end up emerging as survivor to all my difficulties or complexities i tackle in life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

and what you speak of is the reason I can
define subtlety more than the average
person!. Knowing both extremes
allows me to know the hub,
for this is why I either
gravitate toward
