Question: Conceive if you will a God who gives men sex organs that provide pleasurable sensation, then promises to burn!?
everyone in hell who doesn't use them within a strictly prescribed manner!. Conceive of a God who gives men eyes but still remains invisible to them, then threatens to burn everyone in hell who doesn't believe in him!. Conceive of a God who made the devil and his fires because he knew in the first place that he would burn certain souls!. A mighty unsavory fellow, this God, this figment of the masochistic imagination!. Immortality is not something to be won by good conduct, nor by bad conduct sending others to hell!. "Self" manifests throughout the universe, it neither punishes itself nor rewards itself!. It is eternal, by it's very nature we are eternal!. Religion is man made!. God is energy, God is consciousness and is infinte!. We are finte in human form!. When our body dies our consciousness continues returning to the whole!. The thing about religion is, people dont ask this, and if you do, its blasphemy!. Im not saying religion is a bad thing, far from it, because people need something to believe in, but i think religion should not be so encompassing!. I was even obsessed with Marilyn Manson to the point I scared my mother, now I have faith!. I do not go to church as I should, but I pray daily!. You know what!? I choose not to!. So many people spend their entire lives reading the bible and picking apart every single passage so they can somehow justify their belief in the ridiculous ones!. Well, I choose not to believe in any of it!. Even if God came here today I still wouldn't believe because of how utterly impossible it would be!. I mean if he truly is "all knowing" he would know I was just bsing him to not face his wrath and if believing in stoning gays or believing that slavery is a-ok I would gladly accept lifetime's of hell in!.!.!.!.Hell!.

The start of your question suggests that a guy has either hurt you pretty seriously, or at the least has let you down badly & that this has led you to question a lot of things you've previously held dear!.
Let's face it, no firm evidence has been put forward to allow us any knowledge of "heaven" or "hell" but I know myself that that doesn't stop me from praying regularly!. It's just that the idea of who/what I'm praying to isn't so clear!.
As for the self, surely most of us punish or reward our "self" on a daily basis depending on the actions we've taken & how they've made us feel!. I do, however like the concept of our "god" being our consciousness & that being infinite & returning to the whole in the idea that it's the same for us all!. Won't stop me praying though!
Who says you can't ponder big ideas at 4!.55am!. Whatever happens I hope you get some closure on what's going on in your mind at present!.
