A crime of passion is a reflex so to speak!. It is what happens when emotions override reason because of damage sustained and the mind wants to erase the damage but can't!. So the individual's brain goes into a defense mode and sometimes tries to shut off all things and/or persons linked to that emotion!.
So in that respect I would say it isn't the will as it normally is, but it is a damaged will fighting to restore itself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Crimes of passion result from extreme envy, jealousy, anger and a lack of the will to lose someone you lust after or are deeply devoted to!.

Someone who doesnt have the will-power to accept changes nor the willingness to find an alternative, is most likely to commit a crime of passion!. Past crimes have shown that even ordinary folks with an history of abuse and bad tempers were capable of such unfortunate acts!. But most of these crimes were unplanned, unintentional and termed manslaughter, deserving a lighter sentence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's outside the will!.
If we could will our passions and the crimes committed under that umbrella then we would be able to will ourselves out of the offense altogether!.
Passion can and does blind you!. Passion will bring out the worst and the best in every man, woman and child!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it is an extension of the will because they wanted to do it first before they weighed all their optionsWww@QuestionHome@Com
