But then giving in to temptations is a personal choice!. Some are weak, easily willingly ready to walk the path of debauchery; while others with solid foundations and strong will/mind/character can withstand temptations/pressures effectively!.

Perhaps the most common similarity is the desire to look good!. Everyone wants to look good!. When you attain the beauty in youth, you dont want to lose it!. This was Dorian's desire as well!. But it came back as a curse!. Youth is not eternal, at least not on this earth!. You have to die young to remain young forever!. Age withers everything and that is the Nature's Rule!. We must obey it and let it take its toll!.

It can at times sound like modern society - what with the looks-obsessed media and popular culture, not to mention 60 year old women with skin streched so tight it's kinda creepy!. We are all aware of our own appearance, either objectively or not, but hopefully most of us are not willing to sacrafice our morals and ourselves to look good on the outside!.
