Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: In their better-known, philosophical schools, I don't see a necessary conflict!. But there is a sharp distinction between the philosophies of these two, and the actual religions of Taoism and Confucianism!. Those religions likely wouldn't be easily intergrated into most Christian denominations!. With that said, syncretism has existed as long as people held conflicting ideas!. I'm sure somebody somewhere has worked out the major kinks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Philosophy/Theology/Spirituality/are all linked in the deep roots of humanity!. I prefer to think of the thread of truth and knowledge that is part of the weave and fabric of human kind links us all!. The term "pagan" refers to anyone that is not Christian!. It's an ugly term that speaks to our ignorence rather than our enlightenment!. The common thread of truth meanders and weaves itself through all our cultures and though subtle is sound and timeless!. I'm a Christian but I find Christian principles (or what I thought originate in Christian thought) to be alive and well in the ancient teachings of these "pagan" philosophies/religions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Taoism is a school of thought so there is no conflict with organized religion!. Many of the Taoist principles center around trusting the process of the 'one', which is the same as trusting the process of God in Christianity!.
