Its not like I am the oracle of everything but if you want my opinion, I think we are here because Mankind is special!. We were given dominion over this planet, and our purpose is to survive (procreate, evolve) and to have guardianship over the Earth and its creatures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We are simply here, and those who claim to know the answer are, in my opinion, more confused and clueless than those who admit that they don't know the answer!. Perhaps there is no answer!. But also, perhaps in opening our eyes to understand that no one knows the answer is the best way to start trying to find out via tangible interaction with our world and universe!. After all, if you already THINK you know the answer even when you really don't, then you believe that the quest is over when it hasn't even begun!.

As the religious say (I am atheist, BTW) "Sometimes the best prayer is an unanswered one, because sometimes the lack of answer IS the answer!." I of course, do not accept such things lightly, but I would also never wish to make up the answers to make myself feel better as many often do, and as I once did when I was religious/spiritual!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the purpose of life is two-fold: on a general level, live provides a means for the universe to experience itself!. Human life, in particular, provides a means for the planetary organism to reproduce itself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We are here for no reason at all!. Many can twist that horrid truth into something such as 'to better ourselves before God' or something, but really, it's hard to face the truth!.
