I really like the gist of this question and apparent reply will be at the beginning of the day we are more open for impressions!. But then I will like to look at other aspect!.
Let's see the way God made things - Mostly every thing is very efficient !.
Look at a bunch of Grapes --- I asked an architect and he looked at the bunch and said there was no better way to store / keep the grapes from branch than this !. So God gets 100%

Look at Nature and mostly every thing is Balanced --- Efficiency in Creation

NOW I llok at our Human efficiency -- Scientists claim we use only 10% MAX of our Brain ( That is for Genius) !. Do you think God made humans so inefficient ! Here I will go against popular belief and say that most of the time the measurement is on the CONCIOUS Brain , But it is other 90% Brain which SEEM Unconcious to us!. I say that this is the one which is connected to Universe at some level and registers!. This is where Dreams meet reality , Conciousness meets Unconciousness , Physical meets Spirtual!.!.!.

Expanding this theory I will say we are open to recieve impression always and Conciously only seem to assimilate all this in Just woken up stage !.

Great question, Kitkat!. To answer you, ESP and impressions generally are like a radio station that is broadcasting all the time, day and night!. You can tune into it any time you really want to with equally good results at all times if you are truly open in the front part of your chest and diaphragm!. If you are also able to receive impressions with the front part of your stomach (the gut reaction kind of thing) then what you receive will be highly accurate!. You sort of have to line up all those centers to get a right read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In my opinion,the question wants to point out our first and last happening of our life on this universe!.The beginning of the day signifies that we took the birth on earth and accordingly our mind has new impressions regarding worldly things!. Thus at this stage the mind is open to receive new things or impressions at the beginning of our day or life!.Similarly, at the end of life or death our mind is open because we left all worldly impressins or things on this universe!. I believe that different people can focus better at different times of the day depending on their routines!.

Not everyone is the same although collective routines tend to affect people in similar patterns!.

Only thing I would generalize about is that most people struggle with focusing at will at different times of their day!.

When I was a corporate rat my 12—14 hour days would have to begin with huge amounts of coffee many times with as little as four hours of sleep!.

Now that I work for myself I can focus at will and quite often for even longer hours but I also have the luxury of stepping away from my work whenever I feel like it to take a short nap and then I’m off to the races again!.

My general productivity is off the charts these days in comparison plus I have more free time as rule!.

I attribute this difference to my regular practice of meditation and absence of corporate stress (bs) in my life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

deep sleep and waking states during which the mental
clarity is yet to be adulterated by mist of new impressions
