Because some people are self-center and thought that the world revolve around them!.

Some "world news" channels in these countries are actually "local news"!. They never mention about the other countries!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not only Europe, even the US people think America is the center of the universe!.

Europeans and their kin in the Americas have always been pretty impressed with themselves!. Not without some reason, of course, but you can bet the story would be different if the Chinese had been the dominant imperial power in the world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if i was going to think science i would say because there are so many different cultures so close together and isn't there something about the centre of the universe being very tightly packed and the edges things being further apart!.
