It would depend entirely on the god you chose as described by the theology of it; and in the time period you chose!.

The Abrahamic god of Abraham's day would have a very different "personality" from today's!. The "fire and brimstone" sermons were the result of the Abrahamic theologians beliefs that earth, being AT the center of universe, made it the one place where all the filth and nastiness of the universe was drawn, and that man's punishment for having eaten the apple of knowledge was to have to live in this filth-ridden place until death when, hopefully, he would rise into the heavens as far as possible and get away from all the filth!.

Purgatory was a place between the furthest heavens and earth, a place reserved for people who could eventually go either way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

God has never been seen attending a religious service, so I would avoid them also!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
