Question: Can anyone help me make this clearer!? literature!?
this is my paragraph, my teacher told me it wasnt completetly clear & it needed to be more specific
As we begin our lives we learn of love hope happiness tragedy and so many other emotions it is overwhelming!. Through all these human experiences we start to be shaped into society's definition of a standard human!. We keep on growing when we begin to learn how to read and we are introduced into the world of literature!. Knowledge of literature makes us even mor ehuman by teaching us the morals and values we use throughout opur entire lives!. This is possible because we understand the characters inside a myth or novel since they have gone through the same experiences that we have!. We can all relate to a work of literature and we all learn from it!. In every story that has ever been written or told, ther is some sort of knowledge and truth to be gained from it!. 1st sentence: If you are not going to explain why it is "overwhelming," leave that part out, or explain it!.
2nd sentence: DO WE--really--"start to be shaped into society's definition of a standard human"!? Allowing society to do this to us is the psychological definition of having no soul of one's own!.
3rd: How do we "keep on growing" when you just said we are being "shaped" by society!. "Shaped by society" means being held back from being all that we can be!. Society hates free birds!.
4th: if you only read stories of people who have been through what you have been, you severely limit yourself to new experiences!. You MUST read about people who have done what you have NOT done--if you wish to grow!.
Do we gain that knowledge by reading the book, or by "living life"!? Those are contradictory statements!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
