Question: Does "Metaphysics" Ever Become Real!?
I've read Kant's "Critque of Pure Reason" and had long nights over some of it's work!. Kant is among the first to describe the 'noumena' as a place that influences the phenomenal world!.!.!. I've even read the flip-side of metaphysics by skimming through parts of Wittgenstein's "Philosophical Investigations" and he talks about confused language as the source for ideas about metaphysics!.!.!.
Here's my question, "Is it ever possible for metaphysics to become 'real' or is it by nature intangible!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

All is conceptual if, it can be spoken or thought!. The conceptual is like a map, it is not the territory!. God is a concept!. Reality is a concept!. See where this goes!? Metaphysics is a concept!. No one concept is any worse or better than another - including the concept of reality!. Just concepts!.
A little story goes: " Dogo and Zen-gen went to a house to show sympathy!. Zen-gen hit the coffin and asked, "Alive or dead!?" Dogen replied, "I won't say alive, I won't say dead!." Zen-gen demanded, " Why won't you say!?" Dogo repeated, "I won't say!." On their way home, Zen-gen cried, "Tell me right now teacher, alive or dead; if you don't tell me, I will hit you!." Dogo said, "You may hit me, but I won't say!." Zen-gen hit him!.
Later after Dogo died, Zen-gen went to Seki-so and told him the foregoing story!. Seki-so said, "I won't say alive, and I won't say dead!." Zen-gen said, " Why won't you say!?" Seki-so repeated, "I won't say, I won't say!." At these words Zen-gen came to awakening!."

"Metaphysics" contains concepts!. "Table" is a metaphysical concept, because it the "genera" of all "things that have a flat surface on which to put things!."
Metaphysics contains definitions, (which ARE concepts), and that is pretty much all metaphysics is!. But those definitions are the basis for classifying other existents according to their genera and their "differentia," such as "dining table" or "coffee table!."

So yes, anything that has empirical existence is already real; and many things that are only in the mind as an idea will become real if it is created!.
Metaphysically speaking, noumena are real only as concepts!. They are not "in the things themselves" as "unknowables!." They are not "in the things themselves" at all, because
1!. it cannot be proved that an unprovable existent exists;
2!. Kant defined noumena as the essence of a thing, and essences are conceptual, not empirical!. [See Stoicism; Wm!. of Occam; Ayn Rand; others but I don't know who, perhaps Averroes!.]Www@QuestionHome@Com
Wittgenstein and language analysis as part of Analytical Philosophy could be considered critical towards Metaphysics because, they convert what Kant defined Transcendental Premises, which are a combination of Pure Logical Notions of Mind, meaning Ideas, that are the presupposition of the explanation or the perception of empirical experience!. Now, what Wittgenstein does is to convert objectivity in the frame of a text: words, its meaning has importance, and as a French Philosopher said, "il n'y a rien dehors le text"!.
So speaking about Kant and Wittgenstein we has to do with a controversial relation!. If I had to find something in common in converting Metaphysics into Real as defined by Analytical Philosophers, I would say that Reality is well defined when described in a text and projected into outer word and has well been described by Humans Mind, that is to say by Ideas, Transcendental Notions which embraced empirical experience which has been written down in a text!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
