Evolution is a scientific theory, and theory is a word which has a very specific meaning in the practice of science!.

Creationism, by whatever name, cannot be disproved and is thus not a scientific theory, but a religious belief!.

People who do not have religious beliefs do not need creationism!. People who are religious may nonetheless need evolutionary theory if they plan to work in a scientific field!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hello:

I am forced to agree that evolution!.!.!.while likely not 100% correct/complete!.!.!.is still not only the prevailing scientific theory, but also in my personal opinion pretty sound!.

Creationism isn't a scientific theory and regardless of what the name is changed to will not be based in science and the observable world!.

Having said that I was raised catholic and personally I think I am a better person for it!.!.!.I have no problem with parents telling their children something like "well son/daughter!.!.!.the lord made it this way to test our faith" or maybe "for some reason God made it happen this way, but we know that he created us and there must be purpose behind it" or really any little thing they want!. Raise your children however you think you have to!.!.!.just don't beat them horribly or where we can all see it, don't molest them, and most importantly don't force illogical bull shiz on the rest of us!.!.!.and we're cool!.

To answer the question, I do not have particular names to add credence to my argument, but I would suggest a plain ol Google search or Wikipedia article on the argument to helps with people in particular and their arguments!.

I hope this helps

The Catholic Church seems to have fairly solid views, as did Darwin!.

The critical thing to understand is that if everyone had the same experiences and knowledge to draw on, everyone would have the same opinion!.

The answer to your question therefore, is yourself!. You have the final view and hold the scales of probability based on all of your knowledge and experience of a question to which the answer is currently unproveable beyond all doubt (according to The Church)!.

What you decide is what you'll believe and therefore your arguement (how you balance out what you understand) is the most important!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
