Question: With regards to universals, how do ants function!? How can they act so well in unison!?

Perhaps the ants are all 'accessing' the same thing conceptually!? Perhaps this is how universals extend into lower forms of life as well!?

If so, the problem of universals just got more intriguing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How ants function has nothing to do with universal, whether you use Plato's definition or Aristotle's!.

Aristotle said a universal is that which may be predicated of many!. He didn't mean behavior predicated of many ants!. He meant, for example, that "table" may be predicated of many objects, as "round" may also be; as "sentient" may also be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
